Furlough Fridays
FHS Teachers Vote to Turn All Remaining PC/Waiver Days Into Instructional Days
To help address parents' concerns about lost class time for students caused by the mandated furloughs, teachers voted overwhelmingly to give up the rest of their PC/Waiver Days. Those dates are Dec. 4, Jan. 5, Feb. 1 and May 3 and have been approved by the Board of Education. Students are to report to school as normal. Also, a hearty congratulations to Mrs. Teressa Shimizu, Business Education teacher, on attaining National Board Certification!  Go Govs!

Students Showcase Their Masterpieces in Updated Photo Gallery!
Check out the creativity and artistry of some very talented Governors from Mrs. Brown-Dunham's photography class! With the gallery's intuitive streamlined viewer, their images from a recent exhibit really stand out and capture the essence of the photographer's eye for composition. Beautiful work! We hope to feature more this semester! Go Govs!

Lady Govs Basketball
OIA Red Conference Varsity Tournament
Farrington once again had to come from behind, this time against a very talented Roosevelt team to win, 46-42, and advance to the championship game. The Lady Govs emerged as the tournament's lone undefeated team remaining and await the winner of the Roosevelt-Moanalua elimination game to battle for the OIA title this Thursday night at Mililani… Go Govs!

Governors Basketball
OIA Red Conference East
The curtain fell on the 2010 season with mixed emotions for our Govs as the varsity lost to Kalaheo, 43-34, while the JV picked up a win against the Mustangs. All is not lost, however, as the FHS cagers gained valuable experience during the course of the season. Look out for next year… Go Govs!

Boys Soccer
OIA White Conference Tournament
The Govs' season came to an end after a heart-wrenching double overtime loss to Radford, 2-1. Our boys have a lot to be proud of – they played hard, never gave up and embodied all the traits articulated in The Farrington Way. Here's to another great season… Go Govs!

Did You Know?
More than 20 million Hershey's Kisses are wrapped each day using 133 square miles of aluminum foil. Believe it or not, ALL that foil is recyclable, but not many people realize it so most of it goes to trash. When will you start recycling? The answer is now, not tomorrow. Remember – from water to land, Earth needs a helping hand.
